Driving our Economy Forward: Tasty Donuts
Tasty Donuts has been rolling out donuts since 2009
OOLTEWAH, Tenn. (WDEF) — One could say that Tasty Donuts is one of the most successful donut businesses in Chattanooga.
The company was founded in 2009 when Louisiana native Tony McInnis came to Chattanooga with a mission.
Tasty Donuts is creating some of the most delicious donuts for Chattanoogans.
Check out how the company continues to drive our economy forward.
“We hand make gourmet donuts daily. Got two shops, one here in Cambridge Square and one in East Brainerd. We’re known for having the largest selection of donuts, not just in Chattanooga, but in most of the country,” said owner Tony McInnis.
Tony McInnis founded Tasty Donuts in 2009. He says he has a passion for “doing donuts right.”
McInnis explains, “My first job as a teenager in New Orleans was cooking donuts. And so, I was at a life changing point, and my wife and I were sitting on the beach, and she said, what was the least stressful job you ever had? And I said, well, cooking donuts.”
Tony has more than one hundred donut options each and every day.
McInnis says, in part, “Most people walk in first timers and say, ‘wow, I’ve never seen anything like this before,’ just with the width of our product offering. And we’re so proud. We have so many repeat customers and regulars because we work very hard to make a quality product every day. Our big sellers are our pinecones, which are like blooming cinnamon rolls, our curl bars, which is croissant dough that we treat like a doughnut. Sell out of those every day. They’re delicious. And then we have such a variety. I mean, obviously chocolate ice glazed donuts. Glazed donuts sell a lot. We have a plethora.”
Tony employs 19 people, but he is currently hiring.
“Come on out and see us. We’re in Cambridge Square in Ooltewah, East Brainerd and Jenkins in the east Brainerd area. Fresh donuts every day. The largest selection you’ve ever seen. And our goal is to give you a great product and a great experience on every visit,” McInnis concluded.
