Dump Truck goes over the edge in Catoosa County

RINGGOLD, Georgia (WDEF) – A dump truck went on a wild ride into the woods of north Georgia this morning.

The wreck happened off East Nickajack Road south of Ringgold in Catoosa County around nine A-M.

Rescuers found the truck had left the road and headed down a steep embankment.

The driver had to be extricated and then flown to a local hospital.

East Nickajack Road was closed to traffic as a result of the wreck.
