Dunlap Police conducts underage beer sting operation, six cited
DUNLAP, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Dunlap Police Department (DPD) conducted an underage beer sting operation to test local businesses.
DPD has received several complaints over the past few months regarding local businesses selling alcohol to underage individuals.
Dunlap police stated in a Facebook post that underage individuals consuming and possessing alcohol has been a constant issue in their community.
Last week, DPD was able to use the help of an adult who was under the age of 21 to conduct this sting operation.
This individual attempted to purchase alcohol from local businesses throughout the community.
After the operation was complete, six individuals were cited for Unlawful Sale and Distribution Alcoholic Beverages to Underage Persons.
