East Hamilton Names Cleveland’s Eric Mountain as Their New Wrestling Coach

(press release) East Hamilton High School has named Eric Mountain as their new head wrestling coach. Mountain is no stranger to the region’s wrestling community; he played a transformation role at wrestling–rich Cleveland High School. Since 2005, Coach Mountain assisted with program improvements that resulted in an overall growth in program size, number of wrestlers, number of scholarship athletes, and Cleveland’s most–recent state championships. Coach
Mountain has accrued an impressive slate of accomplishments as the Head Coach for Cleveland Middle School. He has a dual record of
227–12, 11 titles as conference champ, and 27 non–conference tournament championships with an additional 8 runners–up. East
Hamilton School Principal Brent Eller commented, “Coach Mountain will be a great addition to an already highly successful coaching
staff. I believe he has the history, determination, and work ethic to take our wrestling program to the next level.”
Coach Mountain commented that joining the athletic and academic staff at East Hamilton offers immense potential. In addition to
coaching, Coach Mountain will join the East Hamilton Staff as the Dean of Students.

 Coach Mountain stated, “I am extremely excited about the opportunities that this role will provide, and I look forward to an active role at East Hamilton. I believe in building and
stewarding strong, positive relationships with students, parents, and the community. At East Hamilton, I will be a driving force in
student life, student services, and campus activities.”
East Hamilton High School Athletic Director Keitha Booker said, ” I am extremely proud of the efforts put into this coaching search.
“We are extremely excited for Coach Mountain to join our team at East Hamilton HS. He has tremendous energy and passion for
Wrestling. His strength in coaching and ability to build meaningful relationships with his players is the reason for previous success as a
wrestling coach. We look forward to Coach Mountain coming on board to lead our student athletes both on and off the mats and being
a part of our East Ham Fam Athletics Department.”
