East Ridge holds first Thanksgiving dinner
EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF) – East Ridge began what they believe will become an annual holiday tradition Wednesday.
The first annual East Ridge Thanksgiving was held at their community center.
Nearly 300 guests gathered to eat food provided by restaurants, churches, and individuals.
The lead organizer, Hannah Spear, says this has been her vision for some time now and is thankful to see it become reality.
Spear said, “I have cried a lot. It’s just been really amazing to see the community come together. It’s been really great. I hope that we’re able to do it better next year and just provide for the community, it’s been a really amazing experience.”
The community center is also taking toy and clothing donations to provide for those in need during the Christmas Season.
