East Ridge hosts annual Christmas parade

EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF) — The city of East Ridge hosted a Christmas parade Saturday night down Ringgold Road.

There were over 100 entries in the event.

Multiple organizations were featured in the event… from students to local businesses.

The parade has been a popular event for many in the East Ridge community.

Kim Trotter with Jack’s Bait and Tackle shared her experience in this year’s parade.

“The people that participated in it… I mean you just couldn’t ask for anything better.”

The Chattanooga-based business participated in the parade for the first time last year.

Trotter credited Ryan Godsey for their involvement.

“Last year was our first year and it was unbelievable. But this year, to hear people chanting for Jack’s Bait and Tackle. That was beyond awesome. The crowd was amazing. We are a small business. We’ve been in the business for almost 57 years. But to see our community scream for Jack’s Bait and Tackle… I mean how better can you get?”

This year, they were welcomed back with open arms from the East Ridge community.

People were lined down the streets from 6:30 p.m. to roughly 8 p.m.

While there was a lot of traffic down the roads, holiday lights and decorations lit up the town Saturday night.
