East Ridge pair charged with kidnapping and armed robbery
Sandra Henderson, 27 and Kane Malone, 21 were both charged with kidnapping, aggravated robbery, burglary of a vehicle and several counts of fraudulent use of a credit card.
According to the arrest affidavit obtained by News 12, on January 9, a male victim went to room 152 of America’s Best Value Inn to meet with a female about a massage. The woman who came to the door was identified by police as Sandra Henderson.
According to the affidavit, as the alleged victim entered the room, he was immediately approached by Kane Malone who was brandishing a handgun.
Malone reportedly took $100 and a debit card from the victim’s wallet as well as the victim’s cell phone.
The victim told East Ridge police that Malone locked him in the room against his will while Henderson went to the victim’s parked vehicle where she reportedly stole a pistol from the glove box.
While being held against his will, the victim reported that he attempted to escape but was beaten across the head. At some point, the victim managed to escape the room.
According to the arrest affidavit, Henderson used the victim’s debit card to purchase nearly $700 worth of items from the Victoria Secret store inside Hamilton Place Mall. Surveillance video from inside the store captured her image as she was making the purchases.
She also reportedly used the victim’s debit card to withdraw more than $200 from an ATM machine.
According to the arrest affidavit, Malone used the victim’s debit card to purchase more than $300 worth of items at a the Dillard’s inside Hamilton Place Mall. He also reportedly withdrew more than $200 from the victim’s bank account.
Hamilton County court records show that Henderson has a criminal record that includes convictions for prostitution and possession of illegal drugs.
Court records also show that Malone has convictions for attempted burglary and criminal impersonation.
