East Ridge police officer going home after being struck by car
EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF) — East Ridge police officer, Alan Resendiz, is going home after being hit by a fleeing vehicle earlier this month.
He has spent several weeks in the hospital as a result but will be released on Thursday, July 25.
Police will escort him back into the city around 10:30 a.m.
The procession will begin at Bachman Tunnel and continue down Ringgold Road to I-75.
They encourage citizens to show their support from the sidewalks on Ringgold Road.
