ELECTION PREP: Supporters of the Top 5 Presidential Candidates Give Their Reasons

The 2016 political campaign is anything but dull.
The races are likely to pull record numbers of voters on Super Tuesday.
News 12 Now invites supporters of the main candidates to give us a reason why that person should win.

Super-Tuesday in 12 states is huge. For Republicans, 595 delegates are at stake. For Democrats, there are 1,004.
GOP candidates need 1,237 delegates to win the nomination. Democrats need 2,383.

You probably have your favorite candidate picked out. Now let’s hear from strong supporters for each of the 5 major candidates remaining.

Katie Cawley like Sanders proposal for free college education.
KATIE CAWLEY, BERNIE SANDERS SUPPORTER “I love the way he’s planning to pay for that. Which is a financial transaction tax, which is like one tenth of one percent on Wall Street traded corporations would provide 42 billion dollars to go to college education of our citizens.”

Longtime Chattanooga Democratic Party leader Annie Hall is Clinton all the way.
ANNIE HALL , CLINTON SUPPORTER “I support Hillary, I admire her because of her track record, and for being a fighter to break-down barriers that keep women and children in particular from reaching their full potential.”

Former Congressman Zach Wamp heads the Tennessee campaign for Rubio.
ZACH WAMP, STATE CHAIRMAN, RUBIO CAMPAIGN “This is a big risk because Trump is still behind Hillary head to head, but Rubio is comfortably ahead of Clinton Head to head in November, if you want to win you need to vote for Marco Rubio.”

Tea Party Chairman Mark West has unwavering support for Cruz.
MARK WEST, CRUZ SUPPORTER “Cruz’s strength is going to be over the next month here on March 1st, where we have Super Tuesday, and numbers of states around the south and Cruz has a tremendous organization.”

Abby Jones runs the only Trump Campaign office in east Tennessee. She’s in Cleveland.

Obviously, Super Tuesday will one of the most important days of the 2016 election.
