Electrical Fire Contained at Ooltewah Home

OOLTEWAH, TN. (WDEF) – Firefighters quickly contained an electrical fire at a home in Ooltewah Saturday morning, preventing the flames from spreading beyond the home’s electrical system.

According to the Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department, crews were dispatched to the 90th block of Snow Hill Road at approximately 8:59 a.m. on July 18 following reports of a structure fire.

When firefighters arrived, they found an electrical fire in the home’s fuse panel that was threatening the structure. Crews removed the home’s power meter and extinguished the fire before it could spread, saving the residence from more extensive damage.

No injuries were reported.

The Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department thanked all responding personnel for their efforts, including the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and Hamilton County EMS Medic 15, who assisted at the scene.
