Erlanger has shared it has been ranked #1 (Erlanger East) and #2 (Children’s Hospital at Erlanger) in total ounces of milk collections for Mothers’ Milk Bank of Tennessee in 2025.

Erlanger Baroness and Erlanger East are designated milk drop depots through a partnership with Mothers’ Milk Bank of Tennessee, Erlanger says.

They say all milk collected from approved donors is sent to a pasteurization facility in Murfreesboro where it is screened and tested, and then dispensed to hospitals across the state to premature and at-risk infants.

They say out of 26 Milk Drop Depot sites across Mothers’ Milk Bank of Tennessee’s network, collections at Erlanger accounted for 22% of total milk donations in 2025.

Erlanger East collected 46,712 ounces of milk, while Children’s Hospital at Erlanger collected 30,151 ounces.

“Unfortunately, not all babies have access to their mother’s milk. Through our partnership with Mothers’ Milk Bank of Tennessee, we provide a safe way for moms to help other moms provide important nutrients to babies.”

– Erin Tomberlin, Clinical Staff Leader for NICU Lactation department at Erlanger said.
