CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) —  Rita Bunch has been appointed Vice President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of both Erlanger East and North hospitals.

Bunch previously served as President at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia.

During her time there, she was able to open new locations, strengthen key services, and lead a major restructuring of the hospital’s emergency department, growing its treatment volume.

Bunch plans to enhance services, advance patient care across both hospitals and lead strategic growth and development of services at both Erlanger North and East.

“We are excited to welcome Rita to the Erlanger team. Rita’s proven track record of leadership and innovation, particularly in expanding services and improving patient care, aligns perfectly with our mission to provide exceptional healthcare to our community.  We look forward to the fresh perspectives and strategic vision she will bring as we continue to grow and enhance services at both hospitals,” said Erlanger’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Tyler Winks.
