Bradley Co.: Escapee found driving a stolen truck

CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF) – Bradley County officials have released more information on the charges before and after a suspect escaped from the Hamilton County Jail.

We told you how Coty Dilbeck got away while being booked, but was caught 2 1/2 hours later in Bradley County.

Now Bradley County officials say they found him driving a truck that had been stolen about the time he escaped.

Dilbeck was arrested last week after a wrecker/recovery truck that was stolen from Miller Industries was found at his house on Waterville Drive.

He was charged with the theft.

So when deputies heard that he escaped on Monday, they immediately headed out to his neighborhood.

And sure enough, they found him with another stolen vehicle.

This time, it was a Ford F-450 flatbed with a trailer carrying a Bobcat and a front loading bucket.

It was all taken from a Chattanooga business two hours before (when Dilbeck made his escape) that was a couple of miles from the jail.

So now he faces theft charges for both vehicles, plus the escape.
