Etowah man charged with firing shots at his ex and her two children

ATHENS, Tennessee (WDEF) – An Etowah man has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting Wednesday night.

A McMinn County deputy responded to a “shots fired” call in Englewood around 10:40 PM.

A woman reported that someone had fired at her vehicle as she was returning home.

Here 23 year old son and eight year old daughter were in the car.

The woman suffered a graze on her arm, but her children were not hurt.

She told the officer that she had just broken up with a married man, who had threatened her before.

Officers found Keith Jackson driving his wife’s vehicle within the hour.

They also say they found a handgun with two missing rounds inside.
