ETSU Dismisses Former South Pittsburg Football Player Kahlil Mitchell
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) – East Tennessee State has dismissed linebacker Kahlil Mitchell from its football team.
Buccaneers coach Carl Torbush announced Monday in a university release that Mitchell had been dismissed “for conduct and attitude unbecoming of and not representative of an ETSU football team member.”
Torbush added that “we wish Kahlil well with his future academic and football endeavors.”
Mitchell, a sophomore from South Pittsburg, Tennessee, had 31 tackles this season to rank third on the team. He also had recorded two sacks.
ETSU (2-3, 1-3 Southern Conference) tries to snap a three-game skid Saturday when it hosts Furman (0-6, 0-3).
