Exotic pets take over Camp Jordan Arena
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A variety of birds, reptiles, and other species took over Camp Jordan this weekend with an exotic pet expo.
The expo lasted from Saturday to Sunday in the Camp Jordan Arena.
This is the first year the event has been to the area.
It started in Jackson, Tenn. and has now expanded to other parts of Tennessee and surrounding states.
“… Lots of people here have animals, have pets… even the exotic ones like your reptiles, birds, small mammals. So we brought our event out here and we’ve had a huge support from the community. We’ve had thousands of people out here this weekend. So it’s been a really great, fun event for us,” Owner and Promoter of CF Exotic Pet Expos Dustin Bickerstaff said.
Small businesses gathered around for the event. Vendors sold both exotic pets and crafts.
The expo is both for sale and for learning opportunities about exotic animals.
Admission for the event was $10 for adults and free for kids 12 and under.
