Falcons Ready For First Place Showdown With Green Bay

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) – The Atlanta Falcons are two games below .500.
The Green Bay Packers might be playing as well as anyone in the NFL.
But, as Falcons coach Mike Smith pointed out Monday, both teams hold the same spot in the standings.
First place.
Atlanta (5-7) remained tied with New Orleans atop the NFC South after a dominating 29-18 victory Sunday over another division leader, the Arizona Cardinals.
While the Cardinals have lost their starting quarterback for the season and were without two other key offensive players against the Falcons, the Packers are on quite a roll.
Green Bay (9-3) has won four straight and scored more than 50 points in two of its last three games at Lambeau Field, where the Packers will host the Falcons next Monday night.
Said Smith,"They’re playing extremely well at home. I don’t believe they have thrown an interception at home this season. I don’t even want to talk about how many points they have scored in their last three games at Lambeau Field."

Green Bay has scored 134-points in their last three home games.
