Falcons Receiver Julio Jones Shows Up For First Day of Training Camp

Would you show up for work if you got a $2-million bonus?
Kind of a no-brainer.
That’s basically what Falcons receiver Julio Jones did on Thursday. Jones threatened to skip the team’s training camp because of a contract dispute. But the Falcons reportedly took $2-million owed to Jones in 2019, and gave it to him this year as bonus money, pushing Jones salary to over $12-million this season. So Jones showed up for the first day of camp Thursday, and Falcons coach Dan Quinn says the entire front office made sure the deal got done. Said Quinn:”I think that’s why it’s also so important from a head coach and general manager and ownership to have that relationship where you do get to work in concert together, and we’re fortunate for that because we recognize that not every organization has that.”
