HCSO investigates fatal ATV wreck on Boy Scout Rd.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigate a fatal ATV wreck.

Deputies responded to the call in the 400-block of Boy Scout Road around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

The preliminary investigation determined a juvenile drove off Boy Scout Road and wrecked in a yard/field.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Matt Lea says it appears the ATV may have rolled.

The juvenile patient was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and passed away later that night as a result of injuries incurred in the crash.

HCSO Traffic Investigators are currently investigating this incident and due to the incident involving a juvenile, details are limited.

Hamilton County Courts Building
The main location for Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is downtown Chattanooga at the corner of 6th and Market streets. This area of town was recently renovated with the addition of numerous trees and countless flowers and shrubs. Also added were benches and new bus stops, places for the weary traveler to stop and relax. The downtown location is home to the administration branch of the Sheriff’s Office. Connected to this building is the Justice Building, housing the Corrections, Fugitive, and Civil Process Divisions.

Sheriff’s Office West Sector
On the west side of the county is the West Annex. Located here are Investigative Services, Patrol Services (for the west side), Training, and Property/Evidence. In the same building are also located various other agencies and departments.

Sheriff’s Office East Sector
On the east side of the county is another squad room housing Patrol Services, SROs, Traffic, Safe Journey, CIT, Neighborhood Watch, School Patrol, Investigative Services, and Property/Evidence for the East Sector.
