UPDATE: Fatal Shooting at 2600 block of East 41st Street

UPDATED 2:55pm

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police began receiving calls shortly after 5am this morning, responding to the 2600 block of East 41st Street on the report of a fatal shooting.

Jermichael Bowling, 35, succumbed to his injuries before police arrived on the scene.

While no credible suspect information has been provided to police, a woman was observed being frisked by Officers and moved to the back of a squad vehicle.

Chattanooga Violent Crimes Bureau Investigators are following all actionable leads and ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
