Fatal wreck at Holtzclaw and Bailey

Police identify the victim as 61 year old Gerard Leo

UPDATE:

Chattanooga Police say the victim was a 61 year old man who ran a red light at the intersection and hit the other vehicle.

The other driver was taken to the hospital.

No charges are pending against the other driver.

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police confirm that one person was killed in a crash Monday afternoon next to the National Cemetery.

Two vehicles collided in the intersection of Holtzclaw and Bailey Avenues just after noon.

The other driver was taken to the hospital.

Police investigators closed the intersection for several hours to reconstruct the wreck.

The intersection is now open again.
