Faux Fur Fest Raises Funds for Local Shelter on Valentine’s Day

The Humane Educational Society hosted its third annual Faux Fur Fest on Valentine’s Day, bringing animal lovers together at The Signal for an evening of food, music, and fundraising.

Guests kicked off the night with a cocktail hour, mingling with adoptable pets before enjoying both live and silent auctions featuring artwork and unique local experiences.

Jeanine Cloyd, Director of Development at the Humane Educational Society, shared her excitement about the event:
“We’re super excited. The lobby is getting completely full. We have puppies, adult dogs. The bar is going. We have all kinds of art and auction items, so we’re super excited.”

Organizers say the funds raised are vital, supporting medical care, food, staffing, and everyday supplies for thousands of homeless animals.

“It’s nurturing them, nutrition, behavior, and lots and lots of love,” Cloyd added. “This night celebrates adopting a forever friend, but it also shows that there is a huge need in our community, and this night helps us fund that need.”
