FedEx Chairman & CEO delivers keynote address at Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting
Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – The Chairman and CEO of FedEx addressed the Chattanooga Community Wednesday.
Frederick Smith served as keynote speaker to the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce annual meeting.
Smith presented a check for $100,000 to the families of the Chattanooga terror attack victims.
He also spoke about technology in business and the dangers of monopolies.
In addition to the keynote address, the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce also gave out awards.
Pat Mahery won the Ambassador Award on Wednesday. He said, "Being a part of this and listening to the other people that were here talking, Senator Corker and Mr. Smith, just to name a few, I think that’s probably the culmination of the whole meeting today for me."
The Hixson Council of the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce won the ‘Best Chamber’ award.
