Female inmate at Silverdale accused of raping two other women

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee (WDEF) – A female inmate at the Silverdale Detention Center finds herself in deeper trouble after she was accused of sexually assaulting two other female inmates.

Nichole Jackson, 22, of Chattanooga is now facing two counts of rape.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by News 12, the crimes occurred inside the Hamilton County Workhouse.

The alleged victims told Hamilton County investigators that Jackson placed her gloved hand inside both women to search for tobacco. She reportedly thought the two women were hiding the tobacco inside their bodies.

Both women told authorities the separate searches were made under the threat of force.

Both complainants were taken to the Chattanooga Rape Crisis Center where a medical professional reportedly found signs of a sexual assault.

Jail officials are in the process of compiling surveillance video to investigate the movement of the inmates but there is no video of the restroom area where the assaults allegedly took place.

Jackson has a lengthy criminal rap sheet that includes convictions for prostitution, theft, criminal impersonation and evading arrest.

Her bond was set at $90,000 and her next court date is January 4.
