Fights force cancellation of girls’ middle school basketball game

HIXSON, Tennessee (WDEF) – The TSSAA is joining the investigation into a series of fights last night that ended a basketball game prematurely.

It happened at Hixson Middle School on Thursday night.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office reports that several fights broke out among players and fans at the girl’s game.

The game was cancelled.

But then more fights broke out in the parking lot as people left the gym.

It took multiple units from both the city and county to restore order.

The Sheriff’s Office reports there were no serious injuries.
