Fire damages home on Cedar Lane
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Fire Department was called out around 3:30 a.m. by the FAA tower on reports of smoke coming from a building near the airport.
Firefighters determined the smoke was coming from a home on Cedar Lane.
Chattanooga Fire officials say no one was home at the time of the fire so firefighters forced their way in through the front door.
According to Chattanooga Fire, the fire was contained to one room and firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly.
The fire is currently under investigation.
Chattanooga Fire says the fire caused an estimated $15,000 in damage.
