Fire Departments to Receive Grant Money

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- 24 Volunteer Fire Departments in the East Tennessee area will be the recipients of grant money.

That comes in support after the fire departments battled the blaze in Gatlinburg this past November.

According to our Knoxville affiliate, WVLT, $98,000 will be split to go to those departments.

That money will come from the Disaster Relief Fund.

The Neighbor to Neighbor Disaster Relief Fund was established to accept gifts from concerned citizens who want to help the region in times of disaster.
