Fire Destroys BBQ Business

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF)  – Chattanooga firefighters were dispatched to 4921 Highway 58 in response to a fire at a BBQ business around 6:00 pm Friday evening.

Captain Teri Rose with Quint 6 reported the fire started in the open outside structure where the cooker was located. The power pole beside the structure had also caught on fire and the power line going to the business had burnt in two.

The firefighters had the fire out in roughly 15 minutes and there were no reported injuries. The cause has been ruled accidental, with eyewitnesses reporting the fire initially came from the area around the grease trap.
