Fire at Wedding Venue in Rising Fawn Georgia

RISING FAWN, Georgia (WDEF) Fire crews are battling a blaze Wednesday morning at a wedding venue in northwest Georgia.

The General Woods Inn is located at 1346 Deer Head Cove Road near Rising Fawn.

The venue is at the foot of Sand Mountain on the Alabama state line.

Crews were called to the facility before 5 this morning.

My heart goes out to the owners and staff st General Woods Inn. Their wedding venue was absolutely stunning and one of my favorites. The venue was destroyed by fire last night. Please pray for their family and staff.
