Firefighter injured battling flare up on Mowbray Mountain

MOWBRAY MOUNTAIN, Tennessee (WDEF) Residents have returned to their homes on Mowbray Mountain, but so have the flames.

Fire crews have been called back to put out flare ups around the homes that were evacuated on Thursday.

A volunteer firefighter suffered a lower leg injury fighting one of the wildfires this morning on Arnat Drive.

He will be taken to Memorial Hospital in Hixson.

The good news for local firefighters is that relief has arrived.

Members of the Florida Forest Service are now supporting Tennessee Forestry in Hamilton County.
