Firefighters Against Hunger Food Drive results

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Chattanooga Firefighters collected 1,499 pounds of food and $946 in cash for the 9th annual Firefighters Against Hunger Food Drive.

They collected the food and money for the Chattanooga Area Food Bank during the week of August 31st through September 6th.

Officials said the totals mean they provided 5,034 meals to people in need.

Fire Chief Chris Adams said the fire department believes in the mission of the Food Bank and is proud to support it.

“We’re glad we can assist with this worthwhile charity,” said Chief Adams, “and we are grateful to everyone who contributed to our food drive.”
