Firefighters Battle House Fire and Freezing Temperatures

Harrison, TN (WDEF) – The Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department battled a house fire in Harrison early Wednesday morning. Officials received a 911 call at 3:40am for a house fire at 8611 Ramsey Acres Road. Temperatures were in the teens and low 20’s outside at the time.

Upon arrival to the scene, firefighters noticed heavy smoke coming from the eaves of the house. They entered the building and found fire in the kitchen area. Firefighters contained the fire to the kitchen.

One person was home when the fire broke out and was treated on the scene by emergency personnel for smoke inhalation.

Damages reported at $50,000 and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
