Firefighters called to a partial building collapse

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – At 4:10 P.M., Chattanooga firefighters responded to a partial building collapse downtown located on the corner of Market Street and East 3rd Strreet at the old Sportsbarn building which was undergoing demolition.
The building had been closed off at the time of the incident with East 3rd Street having one lane open.
A portion of the collapsed bricks and debris were on the sidewalk.
Fortunately, there were no injuries.
Chattanooga building inspectors were requested to the scene.
