Firefighters have a new training complex in Catoosa County

RINGGOLD, Georgia (WDEF) – Firefighters in Catoosa County now have a new facility to train in.

The Catoosa County Fire Department has opened a new training facility on Mack Smith Road.

Located at fire station 10, the five-story tower will provide firefighters with simulations of challenges they may face in the field.

Fire Chief Randy Kemp says “Being able top put that firefighter in that position, and seeing how they perform and work, in a more controlled environment, is definitely a major plus for our department.”

The facility took only two weeks to construct.

Catoosa County firefighters will begin using it in the next week or two.
