Firefighters receiving “frequent” brush fire calls
APISON, Tenn. (WDEF) — On Thursday, firefighters were working a woods fire in Apison, Tennessee.
The Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department said the fire was located in the woods at 5102 Wesleyan Road.
Firefighters said the fire spread outside the containment line.
No buildings are in danger, according to the fire department.
Bradley County Fire and Rescue and Tennessee Wildland firefighters assisted as well.
Tri-Community VFD noted the expansion of the “exceptional drought” zone in Tennessee.
Fire officials said they have received frequent brush fire calls along I-75.
They are asking the public not to burn.
