Firefighters save the Bargain Hunt from morning trailer fire

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A motorist spotted a fire this morning that threatened the Chattanooga Bargain Hunt around 5:45 AM at 1301 Hickory Valley Road.

A trailer at the loading dock was smoking and burning.

Fire officials say the trailer was filled with combustible materials associated with the business.

They cut it apart to get to the burning stuff.

Battalion Chief Rick Boatwright estimates the company lost $10,000 on the trailer, and another $5,000 for damage to the exterior of the building.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
