Firefighters save Hixson business from going up in flames
HIXSON, Tennessee (WDEF) – A Sherwin-Williams paint store was nearly destroyed by fire had it not been for the quick action of Chattanooga firefighters.
According to CFD spokesman Bruce Garner, a passing motorist called 911 after noticing smoke and flames emanating from the Sherwin-Williams paint store in the 5100 block of Hixson Pike.
The early notification and close proximity of fire station 19 allowed fire crews to arrived within seconds and quickly extinguish the flames.
No injuries were reported and damages are considered to be very light.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
