First responders combat chimney fire in Harrison
HARRISON, Tenn. (WDEF) — Hamilton County first responders were on the scene of a residential fire Saturday afternoon.
A homeowner called 911 reporting a chimney fire at his house.
At 2:00 p.m., Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department responded to 6014 Champion Road.

The first engine reported an active residential apartment fire.
Highway 58 VFD immediately requested mutual aid.
Chattanooga Fire and Tri-Community VFD responded to the scene.
Highway 58 VFD officials reported that the fire started in the front on side of a Tri-Plex residence.
Crews made an aggressive attack and contained the fire to the living room and attic of one apartment.

Two residents are displaced due to the fire.
The damages are still unknown at this time.
No injuries were reported but HCEMS was on the scene for potential injuries.
Bradley County Fire Rescue also was on standby at Highway 58’s Station 2 for any emergency calls.
