Five Chattanooga convenience stores fail underage alcohol sting by police

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police sent an 18 year old to 25 convenience stores on Monday to buy alcohol.

Twenty of the clerks passed the test and refused to sell to the teenager.

But five stores did.

And now the owners will face the Chattanooga Police Regulatry Bureau/Beer Board/Hamilton County Coalition.

“The goal of the Chattanooga Police Regulatory Bureau/Beer Board/Hamilton County Coalition is to ensure compliance with established board regulations and state laws, said Lt. Austin Garrett. The Board is not successful with anything less than 100% compliance.”
