Five Star Basketball Recruit Josiah James Commits to Tennessee

The Vols basketball team landed a verbal commitment from five star recruit Josiah James on Wednesday.  The 6’6 point guard from Charleston, South Carolina, is listed as the nation’s 20th best recruit according to ESPN. James has won three state championships at the Porter Gaud School, and he also won a gold medal with the United States under-18 team at the 2018 FIBA Americas U-18 Championship. James chose Tennessee over Clemson, Michigan State, and Duke.

Said James:”You can definitely go there and build your own legacy. It’s not that they haven’t had great players in the past. They still currently do have a great players, but I felt like this was a different route. People wanted me to take the blue blood route or in state route, but this is the route that was for me.”
