Five Star Brentwood Academy QB George MacIntyre Commits to Vols

Brentwood Academy quarterback George MacIntyre committed to Tennessee on Monday at his high school in Nashville.

He’s a five star recruit who threw for over 32-hundred yards last year as a junior.

The 6’5 MacIntyre is listed as one of the nation’s top quarterback recruits for the 2025 class.

He picked Tennessee over Alabama and others because of the Vols head coach.

Said MacIntyre:”Yeah I think there were a lot of reasons but you know I think the main reason was Coach Heupel. He’s a quarterback guy. I know that the whole team is going to be run by the quarterback. The thought of staying home in my home state. There’s no place I’d rather be. Coach Heupel has been there and done it. He was a quarterback. He knows how we are thinking. What to think. I’ve sat in the quarterback meetings. It’s very impressive. Head coach is so involved in everything. You can’t say that about every coach. That is one of the main reasons why I did commit to Tennessee is because I know I will be running. I know it’s the head coaches offense. At other places they will have a new coordinator every two or three years coming to bring a new offense in. I’ve been through that. Didn’t necessarily want to do it again. I mean there’s going to be competition everywhere. I think if you try to do that with every school, you’ll end up going to some random school. I don’t really look too much at the depth chart yet. Obviously Tennessee is the place for me.”
