Flintstone man charged with having meth, cocaine, marijuana

FLINTSTONE, Ga. (WDEF) — A Walker County man is behind bars for drug charges and having a gun as a convicted felon.

Authorities arrested 43-year-old Eric Upshaw.

The Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force made the arrest on Thursday afternoon.

The drug task force served a search warrant at Upshaw’s home on Nancy Lane, the sheriff’s office explained.

Agents found 20 grams of crack and powder cocaine, two ounces of meth, and one and a half pounds of marijuana, according to the Walker County Sheriff’s Office.

In addition, they said Upshaw had a firearm, which is illegal for convicted felons.

He was also already on probation for a previous drug conviction, the sheriff’s office said.

Upshaw faces charges including trafficking methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and marijuana, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
