Food Pantries Expand Winter Assistance

FORT OGLETHORPE, GA. (WDEF) – St. Vincent de Paul/Gabriel’s Hope Food Pantry in Fort Oglethorpe provides ongoing food assistance through regular food drives and pantry services.

In addition to its routine operations, the organization will hold a supply pickup from noon to 1 p.m. tomorrow for community members.

According to organizers, the distribution will include food items and winter-related supplies.

St. Vincent de Paul officials say food donations and collections take place throughout the year, supporting individuals and families seeking assistance.

The organization works as part of a broader network of community groups that provide food access in the area.

Other food pantries across the region also offer food assistance and supply distribution, with schedules and availability varying by location.

Residents seeking support are encouraged to check directly with individual pantries for the most up-to-date information on services and hours.
