Former Henegar Police Officer takes plea deal in child sexual abuse case
A former police officer in northeast Alabama has taken a plea deal in a child sexual abuse case.
Joshua Kwon was charged with five counts of obscene material last spring.
The victim was under the age of 17 according to the indictment.
On Monday, he pleaded to a pair of charges of attempted dissemination of obscene material.
He was sentenced to three years in prison and will have to register as a sex offender.
The Henegar Police Department fired him after the indictment.
