Former Murray Co Standout Billy Napier Facing Old Boss in Bama’s Nick Saban

Should be a cool moment for former Murray County football star Billy Napier this weekend. The first year coach for the Louisiana Ragun’ Cajuns will face his old boss in Nick Saban, as the Cajuns take on Alabama. The Chatsworth, Georgia, native worked for five seasons at Alabama, including four years as the Tide’s receivers coach. Napier collected two national titles during his Tuscaloosa tenure. Napier is looking forward to facing Nick Saban. The Alabama offense, not so much.

Said Napier:”You’ve got to be relentless in your approach in terms of your self discipline and work ethic. I think that’s what I admire about coaches, and he wasn’t asking anyone to do what he wasn’t already doing himself. This is probably the best personnel that they have had. There’s no chink in the armor. The offensive line. The tight end group. The running back group and receivers.”
