Former officer indicted for excessive force during arrest

Case involved arrest of a suspect after a chase

DUNLAP, Tennessee (WDEF) – A former police officer in Dunlap has been indicted on charges of using excessive force.

TBI investigators say Jack Johnson was arresting a man following a chase in February.

He is no longer employed by the police department.

Following their investigation, Johnson was indicted on charges of Aggravated Assault and Official Misconduct.

He turned himself in at the jail on Wednesday.
