Former Trenton mayor arrested on child molestation charge
TRENTON, Ga. (WDEF) — The Dade County Sheriff’s Office confirmed on Wednesday that they arrested a former mayor of Trenton for child molestation.
The sheriff’s office said they arrested 78-year-old Anthony Emanuel on Friday.
He faces one count of child molestation, according to Dade County.
The investigation is still ongoing. Dade County officials said due to the sensitivity of the case, they cannot release more information at this time.
Emanuel first served as Trenton mayor from 2003 to 2008. He served again after voters re-elected him in 2011.
