Fort Oglethorpe looking for road rage shooting suspect

Motorcyclist recovering in hospital after shooting on Battlefield Parkway Sunday

FORT OGLETHORPE, Georgia (WDEF) – Fort Oglethorpe Police are still looking for the suspect in a road rage shooting Sunday on Battlefield Parkway.

The incident happened before 4 PM near Dietz Road.

Police say a motorcyclist got off his bike to confront the drivers of a pickup.

The driver shot the 22 year old motorcyclist and then fled.

The victim is being treated at a local hospital.

Police got descriptions of the suspect and a tip led them to its location at a home on Century Station Drive.

They found the truck, but not the driver.

Police have taken out arrest warrants for Joshua Aaron Bassham for Aggravated Assault, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, and Use of Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.
