Fort Oglethorpe Police looking for suspect in deadly apartment shooting

Update: FORT OGLETHORPE, Georgia (WDEF) – The G.B.I. have arrested two people in connection to the fatal shooting that happened Thursday night in Fort Oglethorpe.

The G.B.I says that Malachi Housley and Keishun Rowe, who are both 18-years-old from Chattanooga, were arrested Friday and charged with Felony Murder.

The incident happened at the Oglethorpe Ridge Apartments on Cloud Springs Road where 19-year-old Jaylon Alexander Everhardt died after he was shot outside of the apartments.

FORT OGLETHORPE, Georgia (WDEF) – Fort Oglethorpe police are investigating a fatal shooting last Night.

Police responded to the Oglethorpe Ridge Apartments on Cloud Springs Road around 9:45 and found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.

According to Fort Oglethorpe police chief Keith Sewell the victim was still alive at that time.

He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The Chief says his officers have some leads and are investigating.

He asks anyone with information to call the Ft. Oglethorpe police department.
