Fort Oglethorpe police officer under investigation

FORT OGLETHORPE, Georgia (WDEF) – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation confirms that they are investigating an officer in the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department.

The served a search warrant at a home in Rossville as part of the investigation, but did not make any arrests.

They are not identifying the name of the officer under scrutiny.

But Chief Mike Helton says he has place an officer on administrative leave.
